Cannot reccomend.. n worth every penny i swear. Nice game so far. Graphics are old but ok for a game from 2001, I guess. I can't save the game over the menu, but I found out that it saves automatically if you just close the game over the menu. So that is not a real problem.However, "cougar runtime engine has stopped working" is an annoying problem, which occurs usually when you hand someone over a certain bone, but also coincidentally sometimes. The latter can't be avoided, so just save often. The thing with the bone is, that you have to skip the talk with escape (even if you do that the game may crash, but after some tries you can usually make it through).Apart from these problems, which definitely need to be fixed, I really enjoy the game and its story. If you can ignore these bugs and like mystery, it is worth a try.. I received Mystery of the Druids as a gift from my dad years ago when it first came out, before Steam existed. Back then, I didn't have any trouble running the game and I honestly loved it. When this came out on Steam, I had to buy it. I had lost my disks several years ago. I wish I could say I wholeheartedly believe this is a great game. But the reality is, unless you are playing this on an older OS or tweaking the crap out of your current computer, this game is practically unplayable. Constant errors and crash to desktop for people who are running OSs like Windows 7, 8, and 10. There are some workarounds and patches, but overall, this game is still buggy and unplayable to most people. The company that made them doesn't exist anymore and when we do get updates for this game, it's rare and sparse.The storyline is interesting in my opinion, if you are open minded towards pagan religions and things that go against the norm. The graphics are pretty awful, but this isn't a newly made game and happens to be the first game made by the company. I recommend making use of the Save and Load options (if you can even get them to work), because this game can get very tricky. There are walkthroughs out there online if you ever need them.I would recommend reading up on the game a little bit and don't get discouraged if you have trouble getting it to run properly, a lot of us are having this issue. Is it worth paying for? *shrugs* That's really up to you. I spent the money, but it has nostalgic value to me. I found it worth buying because there are so many hilarious little quirks about this game that just make it special. It isn't enjoyable because it's a meme, it's enjoyable because the hilariousness goes far beyond the game cover picture. The awkward facial expressions Halligan makes, the different topics you can choose (some pretty sarcastic), and the choppy animations make this pretty enjoyable.Just look at the Chief's face and tell me you don't have nightmares. Tell me his cigar stench doesn't haunt your dreams.. It really good.. I played this game once when I was younger but it kinda didn't get me very far. Recently I decided to pick it up again and I assume it could be quite an entertaining game if it weren't for all this crashing and screen flickering (Windows 7). Plus the fact that most major items are literally indistinguishable from background visuals. You may need a guide for even the earliest plot advances.So... yeah, it's not really playable as is. Might work on something like Windows 2000 with everything on drive C: for safety reasons. Not recommended anymore.. It is a mystery..
